Wave 2 (Intermediate level)

Wave 2 is the natural next step after Wave 1. This intermediate course refines your technique, deepens your breath-hold capacity, and sharpens your safety skills — giving you everything you need to dive comfortably down to 30 meters with control and awareness.


✅ Prerequisites & Requirements

To enroll, you’ll need:

  • Minimum age 18 (16–17 with parental consent)
  • Molchanovs Wave 1 certification (or equivalent)
  • Comfortable with basic equalization and buddy procedures
  • Able to perform a 2:30 min static apnea, 50m DYNB, and 35m DNF

To certify, you’ll need to complete:

  • Static Apnea (STA): 2:30 min
  • Dynamic Bi-Fins (DYNB): 50m
  • Dynamic No Fins (DNF): 35m
  • Constant Weight Bi-Fins (CWTB): 24–30m
  • Free Immersion (FIM): 24–30m
  • Constant No Fins (CNF): 15m
  • Rescue & Buddying: 10–15m
  • Theory exam (online or in-person) with a passing score

Wave 2 unlocks lifetime access to Base Training 2 and Base Training+, along with progress tracking via the Molchanovs Dashboard and a global community with ongoing training updates. You’ll also be eligible to continue your journey toward Wave 3 – Master Freediving.
