
AIDA 2 is the perfect entry point into certified freediving. This foundational course is designed for beginners ready to explore the underwater world through breath-hold diving. Whether you’re seeking personal growth, adventure, or a pathway to advanced freediving, AIDA 2 offers the perfect start.
✅ Prerequisites & Requirements
To enroll, you’ll need:
- Minimum age: 18 years (16–17 with parental consent)
- No prior certification required
- Swimming ability:
- 200m non-stop without fins, or
- 300m non-stop with mask, fins, and snorkel
To be certifaed, you’ll need to complete:
- Static Apnea (STA): 2 minutes
- Dynamic Bi-Fins (DYNB): 40 meters
- Constant Weight Bi-Fins (CWTB): 12 meters
- Theory Exam: Minimum passing score of 75%
📋 Course Overview
Minimum water sessions: 5
The static and dynamic sessions in confined water are used to teach relaxation, breathing, finning and safety techniques. In the open water sessions students will apply the skills they have learned in the pool / confined water sessions and combine them with the basic skills of open water freediving such as equalizing, duck diving, vertical swimming, body positioning, turns and use of buoyancy.
